The Miiyupimatisiiun Research Data Archives Project (MRDAP) is a digitization and data transfer initiative between medical anthropologist Naomi Adelson the Whapmagoostui First Nation (FN) in territory of Eeyou Istchee (in northern Quebec). This report provides an overview phase one MRDAP from three distinct perspectives: researcher, archivist, community. authors discuss history relationship FN, process, work that required to digitized materials community for access safekeeping. also foregrounds how project team working ensure has full control over managed, stored, accessed, preserved long term. case study on Indigenous sovereignty being negotiated context
